Anyone who knows me or follows my blog knows that I love the writings of Carlos Castaneda. If you want to read Castaneda’s books, I recommend skipping the first one (The Teachings of Don Juan) and going straight to A Separate Reality, Journey to Ixtlan, or The Power of Silence. It takes years to really “get” what don Juan was teaching Castaneda, but well worth the effort in my opinion.
I just finished a book written by a catholic priest titled, Falling Upward: A Spirituality for the Two Halves of Life. He’s really a brilliant thinker, very open-hearted, and open-minded. He mentions Spiral Dynamics and the work of Ken Wilbur, both of which have been helpful to me in my own evolution.
