Nanowrimo

nanotoons_2013_nov_01It’s National Novel Writing Month again!  And as this cartoon shows, “This is hard, ok?”

It is difficult to write a novel.  The purpose of NaNoWriMo is to give support to anyone who wants to write a novel.  This month of November, known as NaNoWriMo, we will challenge ourselves to write 50,000 words toward a novel in the course of 30 days.  I’ve only accomplished this goal once.  I participated in NaNoWriMo in November 2010 and completed a 50,000-word rough draft of a novel that is now A Siren’s Lament.

This year I will again participate in NaNoWriMo, sitting down to the task of writing 50,000 words toward a sequel titled A Siren’s Seduction.

All month I will track my progress and blog about any useful lessons I learn that may be helpful to my readers.
